The 932 AC& W Sq. came into being in 1952.  They were charged with the task of setting up the first USAF Radar site in Iceland.  They not only had to operate the site but first had to build the site in a temporary location near the airport using old and outdated equipment since the Korean War was still being fought at the time.  Here are some pictures from both the temporary site and the beginnings of the permanent site they created at Rockville.
