Following the major upgrade in facilities, H-3 entered its later years.  In addition to the upgraded radar systems, the Fighter aircraft that were directed by the H-3 personellwere also upgraded from the 1950's era F-102's to the modern F-4's.  The site facilities also received a major upgrade with the addition of two brand new bowling alleys to its recreational activities.  It even became possible for s fsmily to visit with their airman while he was stationed at H-3.  Maybe the biggest change came when WAF (yes that is the WOMEN'S Air Force) became part of H-3's staff (1981)  Here we present a bit of H-3's photographic history.
