In April 2009 we held our Annual Retreat in the City of San Antonio.  This was kind of a "Return to where it all started" in that Lackland AFB was the Basic Training Center for just about all USAF personnel.   On what was the first visit to San Antonio most of us did not get to see much of the town  except if we received a  Day Pass allowing us to visit near-by attractions and then it was quickly back to the base.   

 

Now we have a a great hotel, not a barracks, and some great restaurants and Bar-B-Q Instead of Chow Halls for our visit.    We did learn a bit more about how AF Basic Training has changed over the years when we heard the presentation by Lt. Col Jeffrey Jenkins from Lacklalnd.           (Click on an image for a larger view.)
